Fans will be able to see the science-fiction thriller film "Self/less" earlier.

The release date of the Ryan Reynold's sci-fi film, "Self/less", has been moved by Focus Features from Jul. 31 to Jul. 10., as per Deadline. This is to give way to Weinstein Company's sports drama "Southpaw", starring Jake Gyllenhaal, and Paramount's action film "Mission: Impossible 5 - Rogue Nation", starring Tom Cruise. Both films will debut on Jul. 31.

"Self/less" is a favourable new film to be added in the genre of science fiction, as per Impact. The film has focused on another angle with regard to the existing notion on widening man's cognitive limitations. It transports the audience into a world that presents both the marvelous and threatening possibilities of man's fascination in escaping the inevitability of death.

The upcoming science fiction thriller film follows the life of a well-off and powerful noble, who is dying from cancer. He agrees to undergo a procedure that relocates his consciousness into the body of a healthy young man. Soon, he begins to unveil the secrecies behind the body's origin.

The film cast members include Ben Kingsley as Damian, Reynolds as Young Damian, Matthew Goode as Albright, Michelle Dockery as Claire and Natalie Martinez as Madeline.

Other members of the cast include Natalie Martinez, Victor Garber, and Derek Luke.

Tarsem Singh is set to helm the film, together with Ram Bergman, Cameron Jewell, Nikos Karamigios, David Pomier, Peter Schlessel, and James Stern as his co-producers. David Pastor and Alex Pastor are set to pen the film script.

Endgame Entertainment and Ram Bergman Productions are set to produce the film. It will be distributed by Focus Features. Principal photography commenced in October 2013 in New Orleans.

"Self/less" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on Jul. 10 while it is set to debut on Jul. 24 in the United Kingdom.
