In a statement issued to E! News, Wallace said that he sincerely apologizes to the star for his offensive comment as he admires her remarkable talent and that it should have been the focus of the discussion during the said radio show.

As for Gallagher, he also commented on Clarkson saying that she did blow up and he also apologized for what he said. He wrote on his website that he is the last person who could bring up a topic about someone's weight and he feels worse that his comments made him sound like he was fat-shaming Clarkson, whom he described as a classy and talented entertainer. He recognizes that it was a stupd thing for him to do.

The apologies came after Wallace's Fox News Sunday co-host Greta Van Sustern called on her co-host to apologize to Clarkson. A lot of people were also angered regarding the comments of Wallace and Gallagher prompting them to apologize about their comments.

This is not the first time that Clarkson was fat-shamed as months ago, British TV personality Katie Hopkins took it to her social networking account to call out on Clarkson and her weight. Clarkson always shrugged off criticism about her weight and she also did the same thing when she guested at "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."

Meanwhile, Clarkson did a great number on "American Idol" last week as she sang her new single "Heartbeat Song." However, it's not all good news for Clarkson as Perez Hilton reported that the singer, together with Carrie Underwood, are being sued by Sony saying that these singers owe them US$2 million. Clarkson has not yet commented on this issue.
