LG Electronics, Apple's display supplier, accidentally revealed that it is all set to develop an iMac with 8K (7680 x 4320) pixel resolution. LG is set to use its Quad Ultra High Resolution for the new iMac.

Apple's current iMac with Retina 5K display features a resolution of 5120 x 2880. According to the Madd Apple, the electronics giant which has been known for not rolling out updates for its iMac devices soon after the release of a previous version may go down a different road this time owing to the large increase in the consumer base and has always managed to surprise them with its state of the art technologies. Besides, BBC has remarked that 8K is the highest resolution possible for the human eye to see.

However, Business Insider reported that according to LG the device is all set to be launched in October. Moreover, it has also been remarked that since the news comes via LG indicating a possible partnership between the two electronics makers.

Furthermore, with Apple keeping mum on these developments, there is no way to ensure that the news is true or merely a rumor. After Apple's partnership with Samsung for chips for the new iPhone, this unlikely partnership of the two electronics giants is also a surprise to the industry.

However, with both Korea and Japan planning on launching a service demonstration of the 8K technology, it is imperative for the world's largest electronics manufacturer to partake on this endeavor.
