Instagram has added new color tint option to their app along with new editing tools so that users have more ways to customize their pictures before uploading it online.

Almost every other smartphone comes bundled with a powerful rear and front camera which made Instagram the most preferred social networking platform to share personal photos. On launch the app was designed to allow users to add some interesting filters to their pictures. However, the variety of filters available at launch were limited.

Within a short span of time, the app evolved allowing users to customize their pictures with multiple filters and editing features. The developer team announced in their blog post that the app will be updated with additional color variants, ability to add tint to photos as well as the feature that facilitates fading. 

The fade tool allows users to reduce the brightness and color contrast levels in their picture, to provide a subtle tone to the image, as reported by Huffington post. 

There are wide range of tints available as well which is expected to grow with future updates. The latest update for Instagram app also facilitates users to choose between tints based on different color variants. Users can go with the basic blue, red or can go for a brighter tone with a red tint.  

For users who prefer brighter variants, there is yellow, orange, cyan among many other choices. There are at least nine different colors at the moment using which people can add a tint that they think best suits their picture.

The new update for Instagram was launched on the Android operating system first while iOS device owners may have to wait for a short while to receive the update.

Trusted reviews reported that the app has added a new feature which provides notifies users. Named as post notifications, it will allow users to set an alert to be delivered, whenever the accounts they have subscribed to post a picture.
