"The Voice" Season 8 (2015) wrapped up its Live Playoff round and revealed top 12 artists for the current instalment. The show featured celebrity guest performances, group performances by the four teams alongside their Coaches-Christina Aguilera, Pharrell Williams, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine-and the results. "The Voice" Season 8 (2015) Live Playoff Results Episode Recap
The result of "The Voice" Season 8 (2015) Live Playoffs was based on public voting and judges' choice. Based on America's votes, two artists from each team were selected to advance to the next level. And each coach was given the opportunity to save one artist with their own choice.
The show kicked off with a celebrity guest performance. Chris Jamison and Wiz Khalifa performed "Fast and Furious 7" soundtrack "See You Again."
They were followed by a group performance by Team Blake. The artists took the stage to sing a rendition of "I'll Take You There" by The Staple Sisters. The performance was followed by results for Blake Shelton's team. Based on public voting, Corey Kent White and Meghan Linsey advanced to the next level. The coach selected Hanah Kirby to compete in the final phase. As for Sarah Potenza and Brook Adee, they were eliminated.
Performing next was Team Christina. They sang "Like a Prayer" by Madonna. Up next were results for the team. Kimberly Nichole and India Carney moved on to the final phase of the competition based on public voting. The coach selected Rob Taylor. Meanwhile, Sonic and Lexi Devila were sent packing.
Team Pharrell took the stage next. They performed "Say Something" by A Great Big World. Their performance was followed by the announcement of the results for Pharrell William's team. American viewers voted Mia Z and Sawyer Fredricks to advance to the next level and Pharrell selected Koryn Hawthorne. Caitlin Caporale and Lowell Oakley were eliminated.
Performing last on "The Voice" Season 8 (2015) Live Playoffs Results Episode was Team Adam. They sang "Diamonds" by Rihanna. Based on public voting, Joshua Davis and Deanna Johnson made to the top 12. The coach selected Brian Johnson to compete in Live shows. Tonya Boyd-Cannon and Nathan Hermida were sent home.
