On the game itself, Tim Thibodeau said that Rose's first quarter was very good. He also said that Rose got a little bit winded but is expected since he just came from a 20 game lay-off. Thibodeau was also pleased with Rose's show of mixed moves such as some penetration to the basket, mid-range and long range shots which was a good sign considering to where Rose came from.

During the post-game interview, the former league MVP said that they were matching Orlando offensively but defensively they were not. He also added that there was a problem with regards to communication. Rose also said that for an opponent to win via a lay-up is a communication issue.

According to Yahoo, Rose said that he felt good and did not feel any discomfort at all. He ended the interview by saying that it is indeed a good sign and he was just happy to play.
