Mariah Carey is definitely sexy but her latest album cover uploaded on her Twitter page is being debated by her fans as to why she had to allow such photoshopping to alter her real shape and size.
The 45-year-old singer and mother of two gained weight over the past years and the photo uploaded reportedly does not show her real shape. In the photo, Carey looked very slim and skinny showing off a lot of cleavage as she wore a little black dress. Her legs were skinnier as compared to her other recent photos and her fans are having mixed reactions about the album cover.
Fans of the singer posted comments saying that Carey's album cover was photoshopped to trim down almost half of her real size. However, others wrote that they do not care about her body as they will still buy her album because they love her for being a legend and for the music she makes. Carey's followers added that they do not care about the photoshop because she is not a model or a cover girl as she sells herself via her voice.
Another follower posted a lengthy comment encouraging the fans to not bash Carey since a lot of singers actually photoshop their album covers since it's the norm today. The fans pointed out that Carey has already aged but she still wants to keep her fans happy by looking great.
The album of Carey is called "#1 to Infinity" and she shared in her post that the album is available for preorder via mariahcarey.com. The album cover is actually similar to her old albums as E! News posted a compilation of the past photos and it showed Carey photographed and her name either on the side or on the top. Carey's album covers are always sexy and elegant and the latest photo is not an exemption.
In the light of the photoshop rumors, Us Weekly posted a photo of Carey photographed during the Human Rights Campaign Los Angeles Gala 2015 that was held last March 14. The photo showed that Carey wore a figure-hugging dress and she looked bigger than the new album cover. She also wore a long dress to cover her legs and opera gloves to cover her arms.
Her new album consists of new songs that are to be hitting the charts and it will be out on May 18 this year.
