Another Chinese smartphone manufacturer joined the rumor mill after leaked images of the Vivo X5 Pro surfaced on the Internet.
According to Android Advices, the smartphone will sport a curved screen and a double-sided glass screen. Vivo X5 Pro's leaked images hit different blogging sites at around the same time when leaked images of the Oppo R7 and ZTE Nubia Z9 are also making their rounds in the Internet.
Vivo, a company known for its high-end products, gave the X5 Pro its signature classy design. It features a body made of metal and glass. The smartphone's design just proves Vivo's commitment to even the tiniest detail of its products. Evidence to this is the phones unique camera lens and audio jack design.
The phone's 2.5D metal frame is also layered and was attached to the case in a way that is not seen in other smartphone design.
Official specs were not yet released but based on the phones very thin design, Vivo might opt to choose less powerful processor in order to control the device's heat dispersion. Considering this factor, many analysts say that Vivo might choose the Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processors.
The Vivo X5 Max, known as the world's thinnest smartphone, is also rumored to have a retina scanner. Another interesting rumor surrounding the X5 Max is the supposed dedicated audio chip that was custom designed by Vivo. For its operating system, the X5 Max will run on the Android 5.0 platform and a complimentary Funtouch OS 2.0.
According to Phone Arena, the phone will be hit the market in May.
