Inside the smartphone is Huawei's 8-core Kiri 930 CPU (64-bit, 2Ghz). This is joined by a 3-gigabyte RAM as well as a 16-gigabyte internal storage.

The P8 features a 5.2-inch full high-definition screen, with a 1080p display. It also has a 13-megapixel camera and a 2,680-mAh battery.

On the other hand, Huawei's P8max is a larger version of the P8 with a 6.8-inch full high-definition screen. It sports a 95.9-percent color saturation, on top of an 83-percent screen-to-body relation.

A 4,360-mAh battery accompanies the 6.8-millimeter-thin and 228-gram light Huawei flagship smartphone.

The P8 is valued at $740, while the P8max is worth $810.

After the worldwide launch, the two new Huawei smartphones will be available for purchase in over 30 countries, which include Britain and China.

The P series of the technology firm was first launched in 2012. Its two previous products, P6 and P7, fared well in the global market.

About five million P6 units were sold in around 60 countries. On the other hand, the P7 reached the four million-mark in just a span of six months.
