According to reports, Michael called 911 after Kate, who had arrived home intoxicated, started attacking him and scratching his back during an argument.

"Please ma'am I need help. My wife, she is drunk and on pills and she just attacked me," Michael says in a recording of his 911 call obtained by TMZ. A sound of a baby crying can be heard in the background.

When the 911 dispatcher asked if he was alright, Michael replied, "I'm more cut up. She just got out of jail. DWI the works. We are locked outside. I think the baby got hurt...she was hitting me and the baby. I got it all on tape."

When asked what kind of drugs Kate might have been on, Michael, 52, replied, "Yeah she has been smoking marijuana, and taking pills and she went to get food and came back drunk. She is actually on a detox from alcohol [right now]."

The recording ends with Michael telling the operator that "She is telling our son to say I hit her. Can you believe it? She is crazy. Listen to that drunk."

Sources have revealed that when law enforcement officials arrived they found Kate visibly intoxicated and reeking of alcohol. She also had slurred speech and blood shot eyes.

Reports from the Daily Mail indicate that Kate, who was taken to rehab by Michael last year, has admitted that she was drunk. She has also claimed that Michael grabbed her by the throat after an argument, which ensued because he accused her of being unfaithful.

Kate has been transported to the Palm Beach County Jail where she was charged with battery. On April 17, Friday, she spoke to Us Weekly after her release from jail on a recognizance.

"My main concern is the welfare of my children who are MY life and I am refocusing on my sobriety," Kate said. "Please respect our family's privacy at this time."

Michael and Kate have two children together, Landon, 2, and Logan, who is 3 months old.
