Latest rumors claimed that the iPhone 7 features will include the 7000 Series Aluminum Alloy used on the Apple Watch Sport edition.

The grapevine was sparked by Taiwanese media source Economic Daily News. The next iPhone will allegedly pack the customized Series 7000 casing. The material is reportedly 60 percent stronger than other aluminum material. Although the material is one third denser than stainless steel, it managed to maintain light weight. This material is also used in competition bicycles.

However, the said source had mixed credibility when it comes to rumors about devices. Thus, this should be taken as a grain of salt.

According to Mac Rumors, Apple detailed that the material was used in Apple Watch Sport edition; specifically, each casing is machined, polished and blasted with microscopic zirconia beads to achieve a satin texture. Moreover, the casing added an additional anodized outer layer to protect the device from scratches.

Previous rumors claimed that iPhone 7 will revamp its sensors saying that the device will include the new Force Touch technology. This will allegedly make the screen more sensitive to touch and will yield to easy controls. Other purported features of the handset are DSLR-quality camera, light field imaging, iOS 9 software and A9 processor.

It is still unknown whether the next iPhone will be named as iPhone 7 or iPhone 6S or iPhone 6S Plus. Consumers should expect a pair of smartphones to be released this year just like last year.

Reports are saying that the tech company is following its patterned release date and will launch the new iPhone in the fall. Meanwhile, other publications state that Apple will hold an earlier release of the handset this summer. However, Apple has not confirmed nor denied the aforementioned rumors.
