Focus Features has released three TV spots for the upcoming horror film, "Insidious: Chapter 3." Film maker Leigh Whannell also discussed the role of "Insidious: Chapter 3" on the future of the "Insidious" franchise.

The first clip showed Lin Shaye's psychic Elise Rainier together with Stephanie Scott's Quinn and Dermot Mulroney's Sean Brenner contacting Quinn's mother. Rainier is also heard saying her line, "If you call on to one of the dead, all of them can hear you," as the scenes show Quinn being tormented by the ghosts.

"Insidious: Chapter 3" is presented as the beginning of the "Insidious" saga, in the second clip. It also revealed that Quinn's mother passed away a year and a half ago. In addition, the clip shows the close relationship between Quinn and her parents. More horrifying scenes were shown, such as the evil spirits possessing the character.

A family's loss awakening the "ultimate evil" is a thought presented by the third clip. It also shows Rainier and her assistants Specs and Tucker with the Brenners contacting the dead. The entities in the clip can be seen as the most harmful as they hurt the characters at a higher degree.

The TV Spot trio can be seen in Bloody Disgusting.

Writer-director Whannell said that if the third installment of the film becomes successful, it may be lay the foundation to set-up the "Insidious" universe, as per Entertainment Weekly.

The prequel is set in year 2008, allowing Whannell to revive Rainier who died at the conclusion of the first "Insidious" film and was seen as a ghost in the sequel. The third film will present Elise as a focal character and as a medium.

The film helmer compares the set-up to the James Bond franchise as medium Rainier can be present in stories of various families, aiming to help them overthrow demonic elements.

The film stars Shaye, Scott, Mulroney, Whannell, Angus Sampson, Michael Reid MacKay, and Tom Fitzpatrick.

"Insidious: Chapter 3" is slated to premiere in theaters on June 5.
