The song features Charlie Puth on vocals along with the contribution from Khalifa. The song has set a new record of racking up a 4 million listens in the last seven days and has become the fastest-selling single of the year so far.

"I was really honoured to be asked to be a part of this song in paying tribute to Paul Walker," Khalifa told Official Charts. "I hope we did him proud."

The song was included in "Furious 7" and was played as background score when Walker's character Brain O'Connor is shown driving off in the movie. The song is gaining popularity as a tributary track for the actor, who has been a part of Fast and Furious franchise since the early days and died in a tragic car accident in November 2013.

The movie was still in production stage when the actor was killed in a car crash. The sudden death of the actor left millions of fans across the world shocked and mourning for their star.

In fact, the song was originally written by Puth in remembrance for a friend who also died in a car accident. Khalifa disclosed that he liked the song instantly and took over the tune to churn out the chart bursting number, Christianity Daily reported.

"See You Again" dethroned Ellie Goulding's "Love Me Like You Do" from the hit flick "Fifty Shades of Grey." Not only the song, "Furious 7" has also setting new records of becoming the quickest film to reach the $1 billion mark at the box office.
