Changjiang Liberal Arts Press, a premier publisher of China's bestselling titles, will publish the autobiography.

According to the publishing house, the book launching will be held at the Peking University around May 10.

The popular host also confirmed through the April 21 report that she will also be soon retiring.

Earlier in April, the broadcaster's retirement was already foreseen, igniting an Internet tumult as audiences lauded her credibility and unique style of broadcasting.

However, the CCTV anchor said that she would still continue researching, writing and partaking in various social welfare events after her retirement.

Jing recently delivered a lecture at what is regarded as home to China's well-acclaimed television hosts and broadcasters, Communication University of China.

Jing hails from the capital city of Heilongjiang Province, Harbin. She took a master's degree at the Beijing Broadcaster University, a predecessor of the Communication University of China.

After her teaching stint at her alma mater, she started her broadcasting career as a CCTV anchor in 1988.

Jing became a household name because of her hosting jobs at different iconic news programs such as "News Probe," "Oriental Horizon" and "Focus Report."
