Actor Gerard Butler recently purchased a lavish apartment in Glasgow that sparked rumors he could be planning an engagement for girlfriend Morgan Brown really soon.
The 45-year-old Paisley-born star reportedly paid more than $880,000 for the apartment located near Eastwood Toll, Giffnock.
Butler's newly-purchased property houses three bedrooms, a private balcony and a drawing room, according to Daily Record U.K..
Meanwhile, the actor previously revealed how much he wants to just be at home after traveling the world for his movies.
"I grew up loving being Scottish and have a real passion for home and family. That is the hardest thing about being an actor and living in L.A. In this job - and I'm not complaining - there's lots of moving around and not a lot of spare time to maintain the ties and closeness you have to family and close friends," he said.
The actor revealed that he has a special affinity for living in Dubai, Australia and L.A.
"They are amazing places to spend time in and, in the short term, are exactly what I'm after but, in the end, I want to move back to Scotland - back to my roots," he said.
According to KPopStarz, Butler is currently working hard to purchase a castle for Brown. The actor recently teamed up with Sam Worthington to make extra cash for his upcoming engagement and wedding.
Brown works as a professional interior designer and she and Butler have been dating for the past eight months.
Despite rumors of an upcoming engagement, Butler has been adamant at saying that he is still a bachelor as of late.
