Microsoft Surface Pro 4 release date is now speculated to happen in mid-May after the device skipped the company's Build Developer conference last week.

According to Slash Gear, the Surface Pro 4 hybrid device will be released this month. Although the device did not make an appearance at the aforementioned tech event, the company dropped some hints on the upcoming specs and features of the much-awaited device.

Chinese media source 36kr.com shed light on some of the incredible features that consumers should expect in the new laptop-tablet hybrid from Microsoft. Contradicting to earlier reports that the hybrid device will be powered by Intel Core M processor, Microsoft will use the fifth-generation Broadwell chipset. The inclusion of such processor yields to fanless design as it allows the heat to dissipate from within through the tiny holes. This will also make the device lighter.

There are also speculations that the device will include a stylus courtesy of styli-maker N-Trig, which is quite useful when it is in its tablet form. The tablet-laptop hybrid will surely run with the new Windows 10 operating system as Microsoft Surface Pro 4 will be the flagship device of the company due to the success of the previous Surface Pro 3.

The report also stated that Microsoft will include the same 12-inch screen display with 2K pixel resolution. Aside from the screen, the new Microsoft Surface pro 4 will share similar features with its predecessor such as its ports and kickstand. The Redmond-based tech giant previously indicated that it would ensure compatibility of accessories like its Type Cover 3 and Docking Station with future generations of the Pro.

However, Microsoft has not confirmed nor denied the speculations yet, but more information will come to light as we move closer to the release date of the device.
