Retired NBA star Jamaal Wilkes, 62, has recently commented on Los Angeles Lakers captain Kobe Bryant, 36, and his getting old.

In a recent interview with Sporting News, Wilkes said Bryant has "very little help."

"I'm sure he feels like it's all on him because it has been for the last 18, 19 years, and I'm sure he doesn't know what to expect from himself or what his body can give him now," Wilkes said of Bryant, who is in the last year of his contract.

Wilkes said he personally would like to see Bryant's minutes cut "where he could play the majority of the fourth quarter" although it is going to be difficult for Los Angeles Lakers head coach Bryant Scott because he may want Bryant to be "out there all the time."

"But I think they've learned that he just can't do it all anymore," Wilkes said of Los Angeles Lakers and Bryant.

In the same interview, Wilkes talked about Donald Sterling, 81. Wilkes played for the Los Angeles Lakers from 1977 to 1985 and for the Los Angeles Clippers in 1985 before retiring.

When asked about the racism scandal involving the former Los Angeles Clippers owner, Wilkes said, "I didn't see any of it. I wasn't looking for it. I dealt mostly with the general manager at the time."

According to Wilkes, he was friendly with Donald Sterling only because he had met him through the Los Angeles Lakers when they were winning championships.

On May 8, Friday, Sterling was sued by a woman named Geraldine Senior who claims was injured at one of the former Los Angeles Clippers owner's Beverly Hills properties in 2013, My News LA reported.
