Although "Mean Mom" is a sequel to "Mean Girls," none of the characters of 2004 sensation will reprise their role. However, the movie will surely capture the same spirit in adult drama in place of high school, AV Club reported.

Sean Anders, the director of "Horrible Bosses 2" and "Sex Drive," has signed on the dotted lines with New Line Cinema. It is not yet clear what kind of character Aniston will play or whether it will be closer in spirit to Rachel McAdams or Lindsay Lohan of "Mean Girls."

The movie's production is expected to kickstart this summer. However, it is not yet confimed how Aniston, whose several projects are lined for release, will be able to adjust the movie in her schedule. The actress has played the role of a soft, supportive mom in "Marley & Me" while a whacky version in 2013's "We're The Millers."

Aniston's last movie, "Cake," won rave reviews and nomination in the Golden Globe award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture. Apart from movies, the actress is busy planning her wedding with her longtime boyfriend Justin Theroux. The two announced their engagement in 2012 and said to tie the knot by end of this year.
