Among the rumored "Furious 8" cast members after the announced April 14, 2017 released date are Eva Mendes, Paul Walker's brother Cody Walker and Kurt Russell. Meanwhile, "Woman In Gold" star Helen Mirren has expressed her interest in joining the cast.
"I've always wanted to be in a 'Fast And Furious' movie but they've never asked me," Mirren said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. "I don't understand why."
Referring to Vin Diesel, who plays Dominic Toretto in the "Fast And Furious" film franchise, the Oscar winner added, "Vin, get your act together."
It was Diesel who hinted on the possibility for the "Furious 7" character Mr. Nobody played by Russell to return to "Furious 8," which is expected to be directed by Justin Lin.
In 2011, Mendes is among the uncredited actors who appeared in "Fast 5." However, her role Agent Fuentes is rumored to make a comeback in "Furious 8."
Between Walker brothers Cody and Caleb, filled in for their late sibling in his remaining "Furious 7" scenes, only the former is rumored to join the "Furious 8" cast either as Brian O'Connor or a new character.
Meanwhile, "Fast And Furious" fans can enjoy a one-of-a-kind experience with the newly launched theme park attraction called "Fast & Furious-Supercharged," which will open at Universal Studios Hollywood on June 25.
In a statement obtained by Entertainment Weekly, Diesel said, "Once you go on the ride, it's an opportunity to physically feel some of the adrenaline that we feel every day while we're filming."
