Ahead of Thursday night's final episode of "The Vampire Diaries," executive producer Julie Plec dished on what fans can expect with regards to Tyler's (Michael Trevino) fatal decision.
Trevino, who plays the role of Tyler, will no longer return to the upcoming 7th season of "The Vampire Diaries" and just like Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev), his character will be required to make a huge decision.
In a recent interview with E! News, Plec teased fans with what would happen to Tyler on Thursday night and said that the character's tough decision will impact everyone else's life.
To add to this, Tyler's decision would result in a highly emotional scene that could possibly make fans cry.
"It's pretty crazy. He'll make this decision that may be fatal for some people or even himself," she said.
The "TVD" exec also explained that the upcoming finale episode will kick off where last week's episode ended, to ensure that the question of fans would be addressed.
However, despite the recent confirmation of Trevino's exit from "The Vampire Diaries," Plec revealed that there is still a possibility that his character would return sometime in the future.
This does not guarantee though that his character wouldn't die on Thursday night because knowing the show, anyone who has already passed away can still have a second, third, or even a fourth chance in life.
Meanwhile, in an interview with TV Line, Trevino talked about his upcoming exit from the series and said that he is nothing but grateful for the opportunity to have been on The CW series.
"The Vampire Diaries" airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
