iPad Pro release was reportedly pushed back in 2016.

According to Macworld, Apple's massive tablet dubbed as iPad Pro or iPad Plus will be released next year. Previous rumors claimed that the new tablet-laptop hybrid will be released at Apple's company's annual Worldwide Developers' Conference next month. This is because iPad Pro will reportedly replace the MacBook Air, which was refreshed last year around that time. Moreover, iPad Pro will be pitted against Microsoft Surface Pro 4.

The large tablet has long been rumored since early last year, but Apple has not officially confirmed its existence, although various leaks already surfaced online. Below are the top five specs and features of iPad Pro.

Processor

Some reports claimed that the massive tablet will be powered by A8x processors packed in iPad Air 2, while others stated that it will pack A9 chipset. Grapevine also insinuated that the device will be powered by an Intel chipset.

Dimensions and Screen Display

iPad Pro is purported to sport a 12.9 inches screen display, which is more than  three inches bigger than iPad's Air 2's panel. The big screen is apt if iPad Pro will replace MacBook Air. Twitter user @onleaks leaked iPad Pro dimensions showing that the device will be 7.20 mm thick.

Force Touch

Korean media source Korea IT News stated that it obtained information from sources close to Apple saying that the company is requesting samples of pressure-sensitive screens with silver nano wire technology from its partners like LG, Samsung, and Japan Display. This means that the device will add Force Touch technology for more sensitive touch screen feature.

Stylus

In order to be at par with its rivals, iPad Pro is rumored to include a stylus, which also hinted the arrival of note-taking and doodling features. However, the stylus could be an extra accessory to the device.

USB-C Port

It was first seen in Apple MacBook and iPad Pro will most likely pack the new USB-C port as it is a universal standard port, which you can plug anything such as HDMI for a display, audio jacks, power, and any USB.
