The next Apple iPhone reportedly will run a revamped iOS 9 and have onboard impressive new features that could make for an entirely new version rather than an incremental upgrade over the current iPhone 6 duo.
A 12 megapixel camera with "smaller pixel" could be one of the several new enhancements being rumored to come in the new iPhone. It is rumored that Apple will stick to the S moniker for the new iPhone, which means it is the iPhone 6S.
Experts argue the switch to smaller pixel could prove detrimental as these do not facilitate low light photography. What this means is that Apple will have to concentrate on upgrading other specs, such as the image sensor size and so on, Apple Insider reported.
Also what seems evident is that it is the backing of the new iOS 9 for the upcoming iPhone 6S that is going to make it special from its predecessors. Apple is believed to be recoding much of its iOS software to make leeway for the major hardware changes that it wishes to introduce in the iPhone 6s, which includes a higher RAM rating.
Current iPhone versions make do with just a gig of memory even though it manages to pull things off amazingly with neither a stutter nor hiccups thanks to the water tight integration of its software and hardware components. All current competitors of the iPhone 6 which includes the Samsung Galaxy S6, HTC One M9 and LG G4 come with 3 GB of RAM.
As for iOS 9, among the new features that the upcoming OS is expected to come with include split-screen multitasking, something exemplified by the presence of UISplitViewController in iOS developers community. Other features to look forward to include the ability to close multiple open apps or dynamic wallpapers, VC Post reported.
Users can also expect the usual bug fixes that are a part of all upgrade package. This is particularly important considering the several performance issues that users have come across with iOS 8.
