Apple has yet to confirm the official release of the successor to iOS 8 but people close to the company as well as several trusted sources confirm that iOS 9 is already under development.

With iOS 9, Apple is looking to release its most stable operating system to date. Rumors surrounding the upcoming operating system claim that Apple is focusing more on stability and increased speed. Several blogging sites devoted to Apple updates claim that the company has created a dedicated team in order to develop the upcoming iOS as well as fix bugs that might affect its overall performance.

According to MacWorld, Apple should develop its operating system in such a way that it won't use up most of the device's limited internal memory. This is essential especially for users who have legacy devices like the iPhone 4. One of the most prominent complaint about iOS 7 and iOS 8 is that it uses a lot of RAM which causes older iPhone models to experience major speed issues.

Additional applications rumored to be added to iOS 9 is the CarPlay. Apple is currently working with electric car manufacturer Tesla in order to develop this new feature.

For its music streaming service, Apple is expected to integrate its newly acquired brand, Beats Music, to all its upcoming iOS update, according to ValueWalk.
