Earlier this month, Samsung Electronics' top executives gathered in a movie theater in Gangnam, Seoul to watch Joss Whedon's "Avengers: Age of Ultron," which stars James Spader as Ultron, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Chris Evans as Captain American, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man.

The Samsung executives apparently enjoyed watching Marvel's "Avengers: Age of Ultron," also considering that Samsung is collaborating with the film's producer Marvel to display futuristic devices, which included see-through smartphones, smartwatches, and Bluetooth earpieces, which the Avengers team used in the film.

In particular, Samsung's mobile business unit chief executive Shin Jong-kyun asked reporters about the see-through smartphone Downey's billionaire and inventor character Tony Stark frequently used in "Avengers: Age of Ultron."

Some of these futuristic devices are reportedly in the works for development, according to Korea Herald.

Meanwhile, "Avengers: Age of Ultron" is about to cross the $1 billion mark, 24 days after its international release on April 22. On May 14, Thursday, the film grossed $990 million, Coming Soon has learned.

The top markets of "Avengers: Age of Ultron" include South Korea with $76 million, China with $69 million and the United Kingdom with $63 million.
