"Pitch Perfect 3" movie can happen if the second film will do well, according to Elizabeth Banks.
The sequel of film musical "Pitch Perfect" is topping the box office since its debut this weekend and is currently the talk of the town. Since the showing of the second "Pitch Perfect," fans are already speculating on a possible third movie of the successful movie.
Banks also revealed her plans on taking the helm of the movie following "Pitch Perfect 2". "I will say, it would be disingenuous to say that no one's talking about a 'Pitch Perfect 3'; the possibility of it," Banks told Collider.
"If fans embrace it, we are going to seriously think about what the continuing journey would look like, but we don't know what that is yet. I guess I really love the story of legacy in this one, I knew I wanted the riff-off to look pretty much exactly what the riff-off looks like in this movie and I knew what the finale looked like, so I had some connection points into the story that really jazzed me up, and I don't know what the story of the third one is yet. So I can't say...but I'm excited to delve in and figure it out," Banks added.
Rumors about "Pitch Perfect 3" was sparked by reports quoting actress Rebel Wilson saying that she was already thinking about "Pitch Perfect 3". Amy Kaufman of the Los Angeles Times tweeted that Wilson signed up for the film and she does not know about Anna Kendrick.
In a separate report Collider said that Hailee Steinfeld joined the cast and the actress will be taking over the franchise.
Meanwhile, "Pitch Perfect 2" sings its way to a strong opening bagging $70.3 million. The Bellas - Banks, Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow and Rebel Wilson reprised their roles in "Pitch Perfect 2".
