Mike Huckabee took to Facebook to express his support for the Duggars as the  family also took to Facebook to release statements amid the molestation accusation against "19 Kids And Counting" star Josh Duggar.

"Janet and I want to affirm our support for the Duggar family," the politician wrote on Facebook referring to his wife. "Josh's actions when he was an underage teen are as he described them himself, 'inexcusable,' but that doesn't mean 'unforgivable.'"

In his statement, Josh said he "acted inexcusably" as a young teenager 12 years ago, for which he is "extremely sorry and deeply regret."

Josh is the oldest among the 19 children of "19 Kids & Counting" parents Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar.

Before TLC's "19 Kids & Counting" returned for its ninth new season on Sept. 2, 2014, Josh's sister Jessa Duggar, 21, and her 19-year-old boyfriend Ben Seewald got officially engaged, People reported.

Like their parents, the two plan to have a large family of their own but Jessa said they will "leave it up to God."

"We are talking about our goals and even just like future, with family, we both talked about adoptions. We are open to having children and both want to adopt, too," Jessa told E! News.

According to Jessa, she and Seewald "do have a lot in common" describing Seewald as "a mellow personality, very romantic and very sweet" while she is "very cut and dried" and her sisters are coaching her on "sweet romantic things to say."

On June 32, 2014, Jessa's older sister, Jill Duggar, 23, got married to Derrick Dillard, 25. Over 100 family and friends attended the ceremony.

At the wedding, Seewald said, "People always ask us when we are getting married. We don't feel pressure to get married. If there's any pressure, it's a good kind of pressure."

"The Duggar family gets asked a lot of questions," Dillard said. "A lot of times, we take it as a lesson, and we ask other people who are older and wiser than us to share wisdom with us about relationships. It's an important thing."
