James Gunn recently announced Michael Rooker is joining his action horror movie slated for 2016, "The Belko Experiment." Rooker is playing the role of a maintenance guy, a generally good fellow, in a company run by some dark and evil characters.

"Rooker plays Bud Melks, the head of maintenance in the Belko building," Gunn posted on Facebook. "(H)e's a pretty nice guy - so he's ill-equipped to deal with the mysterious forces who start making all of the employees in Belko start killing each other unless they want to be killed themselves," he added.

Belko is a mysterious company that imprisons its employees and orders them to kill each other. The film is expected to have some bloody and gory scenes as characters are pushed to channel their primitive nature, their survival instincts.

Here the other cast members of "The Belko Experiment," as announced so far: John C. McGinley as Barry Norris, Melonie Diaz as Dany Wilkins, Tony Goldwyn as Barry Norris and John Gallagher Jr. as Mike Pelk.

"A group of 83 American expatriates who work in a building in Sao Paulo, Brazil, find themselves trapped in their workplace; a voice emits over the speaker system, forcing them through a series of murderous moral decisions," reads the movie synopsis of "The Belko Experiment" on IMDB.

James Gunn is updating his social media followers on the progress of his new project. Greg McLean is directing the movie "The Belko Experiment." Filming will take place in Bogota, Colombia in June. Peter Safran is co-producing the movie with Gunn, who is also the screenwriter.
