Techno Buffalo reported that Moto G will pack a mediocre 8GB storage and microSD slot for additional external storage. It also speculated that the smartphone will include a Snapdragon 610 processor paired with 2GB of RAM. As for the screen display, the Moto G 2015 will not be behind with its 5 or 5.2-inch Full HD 1080p display and 4G LTE and Bluetooth capability. The device will most likely run with the latest version of the Android operating system.

According to Moto G3, there will be a big improvement when it comes to the design of Moto G 2015. It is still unknown what materials will be used in the outer shell of the smartphone, but it should sport a metal casing if it wants to fare against its rivals.

Moto G has been Motorola's popular smartphone line catering for mid-range market. A number of users were attracted by the previous Moto G handsets due to its incredible low price for its decent specs and features.

Meanwhile, another clue hinting the imminent release date of new generation of Moto G is the fact that Motorola started seeding the Android 5.1 Lollipop OS update to the Moto X 2014. IT has been announced that Moto X 2014 will receive the Android 5.1 version, with the international or unlocked variant receiving the update. In the US, US Cellular rolled out the said update to their Moto X 2014 smartphones. The firmware update is delivered through OTA (Over-The-Air) update.

However, users are really anticipating the release of the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS update. Motorola has not announced the concrete roll out dates of the operating system.
