"Gilmore Girls" fans will be pleased to know that a reunion and a possible big screen spinoff may finally be in the works. Cast member Scott Patterson, who played the role of Luke Danes has been hinting at the possibility for the past couple of months now.
During one podcast interview, Patterson confirmed that there are talks going on about the "Gilmore Girls" reunion. However, at that time, the actor said he could not divulge much detail about the project, but if it were to push through, he is definitely joining the cast.
In another interview with The Huffington Post, Patterson also expressed his desire to join the reboot and reprise his role as Luke. Without necessarily giving the fans false hopes, Patterson also confirmed at that time the cast members of "Gilmore Girls" were in talks to reprise their respective roles.
In other news, Patterson went on to say that a spinoff or a movie should happen because fans truly deserve the closure they have been asking for, Kpopstarz reported.
According to him, fans waited for so many things to happen on "Gilmore Girls" but they never did. For instance, he noted the wedding that fans wanted to see happen on the show but never really got.
"I think there is a lot of territory left unexplored that we could explored in a limited series or a TV movie or feature film, whatever that may be. I think it really just comes down to the script. I think everybody would jump on board," he said.
