"Spider-Man" reboot was recently announced and although the actor who will play Spider-Man has not yet been confirmed yet, there have been speculations that young actor Asa Butterfield will be playing the titular role.

On his Instagram account, Gonzalez posted a split photo that featured Butterfield on the left side of the screen and Spider-Man on the right.

"RT! BREAKING! THE NEWS YOU BEEN WAITING FOR! MARVEL HAS FOUND THEIR NEW SPIDER-MAN!" he captioned the photo.

Now, Butterfield himself is teasing fans over the possibility to actually playing the role of Peter Parker in the upcoming reboot.

On Reddit, the actor who uses the account name Stimpers, replied to fans who were talking about his possible inclusion to the movie.

At one point, one fan talked about the actor's height and Butterfield could not stop himself from saying that he is actually taller. However, he later on deleted his comments, according to Tech Times.

Meanwhile, three months ago, Butterfield also responded to one Reddit user who said that Spider-Man should be played by an actor who is a "thin little bespectacled dweeb."

The "Hugo" star said that he could definitely give justice to that character, thus heightening speculations that he has already been tapped to star in the "Spider-Man" reboot.

In other news, not much has been disclosed about the upcoming reboot. However, "The Walking Dead" star Tyler James Williams recently said that he wants to play the Miles Morales version of Spider-Man.
