Academy Award-winning star Matthew McConaughey is currently being eyed by Warner Bros./DC Entertainment and Disney/Marvel Studios to take on a superhero role for their franchises. The actor said that he is willing to become a big screen superhero if only the role fits him well.

According to Screen Rant, McConaughey is also considered to star in the upcoming "Spider-Man" reboot. If rumors proved to be true, the actor will be playing the role of Norman Osborn.

This rumor was first reported by The Hashtag Show, the same publication that released two accurate "Avengers: Age of Ultron" spoilers ahead of the film's release. This being said, the publication's speculation may also be considered accurate.

"It's very simple for me. I look at the script. Is the opportunity exciting? Is the money that comes with it exciting? Sure. Is it the possibility of going, 'Hey you can get on a train and it can be a franchise and you could do 3, 4, 5 and have a great time as some kind of superhero or anti-hero," he said.

"The Spectacular Spider-Man" is slated for release in the United States on July 28, 2017.
