Users of the Moto G first generation will be happy to know that the smartphone has got its long-anticipated Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update.

Also, owners of Moto G 2nd Generation (2014) should have access to Android 5.1 Lollipop. The Lollipop update came out one month ago and is available for download.

As for the Moto X Ist gen (2013), that Lollipop refurbish to Android 5.1 has been long-anticipated. According to David Schuster, the Senior Director of Software Development at Motorola, the Moto X first generation update was in the last stages and should be coming out soon.

The Moto X second generation got its Android update a while ago. According to CNET, there is a new Moto Action gesture that switches on the flashlight of the smartphone. Also known as 'Chop twice for Flashlight', this flashlight feature is activated when users wave the smartphone in the air as if they are chopping an onion. This will switch on the LED camera flash until users chop it again in order to switch it off.

According to Android Advices, the Moto E (2nd Generation) 4G LTE is now getting the Android 5.1 update. It is believed that Android 5.1 will be a big update, fixing sound problems, Wi-Fi problems and sudden app closures, improving RAM battery management and system stability and returning the silent mode missing from Android 5.0.

In addition, the Android 5.1 update will include native support for more than one SIM-card that works well for mobile phones with dual-SIM card slots. Owners of any of these Motorola Moto smartphones should check their settings to see if any more Android updates are presently available and take the time to download them.
