Google Nexus 5 2015 release date is expected to happen sometime in October after it went missing at the recently concluded I/O tech conference. In the past, the tech giant showcases Nexus devices at the said tech event.
Android PIT claimed that South Korean company LG is developing the new Google Nexus 5 2015 after an unnamed source said that the company is still considering making the new Nexus smartphone. Moreover, Google engineers were reportedly spotted in LG headquarters. Other reports said Huawei, Motorola, and Samsung are among the companies that will work on the new smartphone. Google is yet to make an announcement about the handset.

Android M - New Google devices run with the latest Android operating system of the company. This year, Google will unveil the follow-up to Android Lollipop OS dubbed as Android M. It is still unknown what dessert name the company will use, but speculations reveal that it could be Marshmallow, Muffin, or Milkshake. The new operating system will herald new features like improved pure Android performance, battery, and performance as well as Android Pay.
Android Police cited reliable sources saying that Google will give two-year guarantee for Android OS updates. This means that Nexus devices will receive the succeeding two versions of Google's operating system. The report added that Google devices will be guaranteed to receive security patches for at least 18 months from the date of purchase in the Google Store/Play Store.
128GB external storage - Google Nexus 5 2015 will finally include a feature that is skipped in previous Nexus smartphones. Previous Nexus devices do not sport a microSD slot for additional storage, but it will change this year as the new device is reportedly packing an external storage of up to 128GB.
Type-C USB port - All upcoming smartphones are rumored to sport the all-new Type-C USB port, which is also dubbed as a universal port that will be beneficial to a device as it will be compatible to future ports.
