"Cruel Intentions" stars Sarah Michelle Gellar, Selma Blair and Reese Witherspoon recently reunited for what they called was a fun girl's night out. Their recent sighting also heightened speculations that there could be a remake of their hit movie.
Last week, the co-stars reunited to watch "The Unauthorized Musical Parody of Cruel Intentions" at the Rockwell Table & Stage's in Los Angeles. While there, the trio took photos which they also posted on their respective social media accounts.
After watching the show, Gellar and Blair re-enacted one of their scenes from "Cruel Intentions" wherein they locked lips. At that time, Witherspoon admitted that she did not have any idea the two will actually smooch in front of her, Jewish Business News reported.
Talking about that moment, Witherspoon expressed how much fun she had with her co-stars and how that kiss reminded them of their good old days on the set of "Cruel Intentions."
Meanwhile, despite their recent hangout, there have been reports that a "Cruel Intentions" reunion will not happen anytime soon. Unlike "Full House," there have been no talks yet as to whether or not the trio will once again reunite for the big screen, Venture Capital Post reported.
However, fans could still hope for a reunion because there have been instances in the past wherein the motivation of fans brought the show or film creators to reprise the series or film. So if fans really want to see Gellar as Kathryn Merteuil, Blair as Cecile and Witherspoon as Anette Hargrove, all they have to do is make their voices heard.
