However, there are rumors currently circulating that the current flagships Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge will receive the Android 5.1.1 OS update a month earlier or by the end of June.

According to GSM Arena, Galaxy Note 4 is among the few smartphones from Android OEM manufacturers to adopt the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS update early. Nexus and Google Play Edition devices are the first in line to receive the new version of the operating system.

Samsung is one of the Android OEM manufacturers that adopt the latest Android operating system later than most tech companies. Thus, it is surprising to see that Galaxy Note 4 is one of the first third party smartphones to receive the update.

Currently, Galaxy Note 4 users can enjoy the perks and features of the Android 5.1.1 OS with the help of Team UB custom ROM.

Meanwhile, Google announced that it will unveil the new version Android operating system succeeding Lollipop OS. It is still unknown what will be the dessert name of the new Android M, but it will surely bring new features like improved Android and battery performance as well as Android Pay.
