A newly launched app, Opener for iOS, helps iOS device owners by opening web links directly into its appropriate apps rather than the usual mobile web view.

Usually when opening a certain link while browsing on an iOS device, the device will redirect the user to web view even if the opened link is associated with an installed iOS app. This problem is a common occurrence for users of iOS version of apps like Spotify, SoundCloud and Twitter. According to Life Hacker, the app also works well with apps like Amazon, YouTube, Overcast and Kickstater.

Opener for iOS has finally solved this annoying problem. According to App Advice, Opener for iOS uses a special action extension that allows iOS users to open a certain web link to its appropriate or associated app. This can be done by selecting a web link before extension activation is done and choosing the appropriate app to associate that specific link to.

According to its official app page in Apple App Store, "Opener is an app that allows you to open link from the web in apps instead! Copy a link and launch Opener to see the apps that it can be opened in."

The app can be downloaded on Apple App Store for $1.99. It can be installed on Apple devices including iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad provided that the devices runs the latest Apple iOS 8 operating system. Opener's developer did not specify whether older iOS versions can support the app.

Some tech communities claim that Apple is already working to provide a fix for that annoying web link bug and plans to integrate it on the iOS 9.
