One Direction fans have started a campaign on internet begging Brooklyn Beckham, son of David and Victoria Beckham, to join the band to fill in the shoes of Zayn Malik.
The trend started when the 16-year-old uploaded a few pictures on Instagram on June 6, showing that the teenager is hanging out with the band members, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne. The pictures were taken backstage at the Summertime Ball, Heatworld reported.
The celebrity child's pictures with the One Direction members led to the speculation that he is in talks to join the popular boy band, though his vocal skills are still unknown.
The speculation surface amid the rumor that One Direction is looking for a break and will collapse, following the sudden departure of Malik. Payn slammed the speculation by telling Mirror that the band has just started the process of recording a new album and will soon embark on a new tour.
The singer further teased the fans by hinting that a few new tracks are almost ready to release.
This is not the first time that One Directioners, as they like to call themselves, have trended a rumor on internet. Last week, it was reported that a hashtag, #WelcomeZaynMalik, trended on Twitter in which it was rumored that Malik is joining back the band. The hashtag was met with mixed yet extreme reactions ranging from euphoric excitement to extreme hatred towards the singer.
On the other hand, Malik has debuted a new look on Instagram recently when he flaunted his newly dyed green hair. "#GreenHairDontCare," wrote the singer's fiance Perrie Edwards on her Instagram to caption the picture. Along with the new lime green hair color, the 22-year-old singer also rocked a black bomber jacket and newly done edgy nose piercing.
