UPDATE: Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, Eric Cartman and Kenny McCormick are set to come back on "South Park" season 19 premiere on Sept. 16.  

"South Park" season 19 release date is yet to be confirmed although the Comedy Central adult animated comedy series is rumored to premiere on Sept. 23, which is also the hit Fox series "Empire" season 2 release date.

Rumors about "South Park" season 19 episode 1 will air on Sept. 23 is based on the season premieres of the past two seasons. Season 17 episode 1 titled "Let Go, Let Gov" aired on Sept. 25, 2013 and season 18 episode 1 titled "Go Fund Yourself" aired on Sept. 24, 2014.

While fans are waiting for the Comedy Central series creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone to confirm "South Park" season 19 episode 1 release date, the show is rumored to be arriving on Spotify as part of the streaming-music service's effort to talk to rights holders about its video offerings expansion.

Spotify has already teamed up with ESPN, BBC and Vice and its executives are reportedly planning to bring Comedy Central's "South Park" to its streaming-music service that is focused on millenials, New York Post has learned.

In other news, Lee Daniels' "Empire" co-creator Danny Strong attended the ATX Television Festival where he talked about the upcoming second season of the hit Fox drama series. Because of the success of the first season, the show's episode count was upped from 12 to 18 for season 2.

"It's so stressful," Strong stated, as MTV quoted him as saying. "Eighteen more episodes is a lot. It's not a cookie-cutter type show."

Among the confirmed guest stars to appear on "Empire" season 2 are musicians Alicia Keys, Ne-Yo, and Lenny Kravitz.
