Good news to waiting Google fans as Google Nexus 5 2015 price point is reportedly under $500 while offering high end specs and features, including quad HD screen display and fingerprint sensor.

Geek Snack cited an unnamed tipster claiming that the rumored Nexus 5 2015 handset will be a revamped or redesigned version of the popular LG Nexus 5. The handset will reportedly pack a quad HD screen display. Quad HD screen or 2,560 x 1,440 pixel resolution is commonly used in most high end smartphones in the market. The original LG Nexus 5 packs a Full HD (1,080 x 1,920 pixels). Thus, qHD display is a big jump for the handset.

In addition, the smartphone will continue to be at par with its rivals and will reportedly pack a fingerprint sensor. The inclusion of the feature is due to the new features in Android M operating system such as Google Wallet mobile payments.

Moreover, the sensor will add more security to the handset. Although this feature is no longer new to Nexus 5 2015 rivals, the inclusion of such feature will be beneficial for the smartphone as it will open new features similar to other smartphones, according to Android Origin.

More surprisingly, despite the high end features included in the revamped smartphone, Google will try hard to keep the price point under $500.

Google will incur the aforementioned changes based from the disappointments in the current Nexus 6. Most consumers were unsatisfied with Nexus 6's big screen and hefty price tag. Thus, most users settled with Nexus 5.

Other rumored Google Nexus 5 2015 features are Snapdragon 808 SoC, Type-C USB port, wireless charging, NFC, Bluetooth, LTE and Wi-Fi.

While Google Nexus 5 2015 will get new features, it will surely compromise other features of the handset. The source close to the matter claimed that Nexus 5 2015 camera will not be that great.

However, more details will be out in the open on Google Nexus 5 2015 release date in the fall.
