Sony Xperia Z4 tablet release date has been postponed to late June after users in Japan started complaining about overheating of the Xperia Z4 smartphone.
Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet and Xperia Z4 smartphone are powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 processor, which is allegedly leading to the overheating issues.
In March, Sony had announced the Xperia Z4 Tablet at the Mobile World Congress 2015. The device was initially set to become available by the May end in the United Kingdom and arrive in the United States and other markets later.
Buyers in UK have already pre-ordered the Xperia Z4 tablet and were promised that the device would be delivered in early June. However, now Sony's online stores in the UK have listed June 29 as the date when shipments are expected to start, Phone Arena reported.
Users of the Xperia Z4 smartphone in Japan have taken to the microblogging platform Twitter and other online platforms to vent their frustration over their devices heating up. Japanese mobile carrier NTT DoCoMo has received several overheating complaints of the smartphone. It has now put a warning label on the handset, suggesting users to take precautions.
While Sony has not officially acknowledged the problem, NTT DoCoMo's official acknowledgement of the problem and user complaints may have forced the company to postpone the release of the Xperia Z4 tablet.
The Xperia Z4 tablet has a 10.1-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1,600 x 2,560 pixels. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system and is backed by 3 GB of RAM. The tablet has a 5.1 MP front-facing camera and an 8.1 MP rear-facing camera, according to International Business Times.
