In its announcement, Valve said a new UI framework is used to redesign everything in the dashboard and there is a full replacement of the engine that runs the game. The rebuilt dashboard is said to be easier to use and more intuitive than the original "Dota 2."

Parts of the plans of Valve are to release more information about the new custom game system of "Dota 2 Reborn" and launch its beta client before July.

It is expected that by new engine, Valve is referring to Source 2, the successor to the developer's legacy engine in use to changing degrees, and the new engine is expected to bring significant performance improvements to "Dota 2," Polygon noted.

The upgrades are not limited there as there are even bigger changes coming to the user interface of the game, which allow gamers to see top-to-bottom revisions. With these changes, "Dota 2 Reborn" players can easily find friends, communicate between games and spectate friends, other players and organized tournaments through stat-tracking and in-game streaming.

In addition, Valve is aiming to keep the increasing reputation of "Dota 2" as as a game with a significant learning curve through greatly improved training tools, which include instant hero tryouts and guided bot games.
