Several media outlets are speculating that "Game of Thrones" (GOT) Season 6 will premiere sometime in spring 2016. Previously, the HBO's fantasy drama has been coming out late in March or early April every year ever since it first hit the television in 2011.

According to Den of Geeks, the only time "Game of Thrones" (GOT) premiered before April and during the Easter was for Season 3. And it reportedly did not do well. The website thus predicts that Season 6 would premiere on Sunday, April 3, 2016 after the Easter that takes place on March 27 next year.

In addition, websites such as Fansided and iDigital Times are also speculating that "Game of Thrones" (GOT) Season 6 is most likely to premiere at the beginning of April 2016.

Meanwhile, the show is expected to begin its production in late July. A report by Deadline confirms that the cast and crew will be heading back for filming in Spain. According to the website, the crew will be shooting in cities such as Girona and Peniscola.

However, fans can expect to see some new faces in Season 6 of the show based on George R.R. Martin's best-seller. The production team has already made its first casting call for a pirate "in his 40s to late 50s," according to the description in Vanity Fair. Some other roles being cast includes a father, who happens to be one of the greatest soldiers in Westeros, and his family, a priest and a trio of three boys.

Speaking to Yahoo TV, VFX supervisor Joe Bauer and prosthetics supervisor Barrie Gower revealed what to expect in Season 6 of "Game of Thrones" (GOT). According to the Emmy Award winning pair, the dragon will be "double in size" in the next instalment.

"The dragons will again be double in size..." Gower said. "Last year, the best we could do was a head and this year it's going to be a finger nail or something, I'm not really sure."

The duo refrained from revealing many details. But the website notes that fans can expect to see some "mind-blowing" VFX in Season 6 as hinted by the special effects duo.

"Benioff and Weiss, when they write the outline each year, for last two years, we got to this one point and we read this one gag and thought 'Oh my God, how the hell are we going to do that? But this is going to be incredible!' And then it got pulled and we didn't do it in Season 4," Gower added. "And then, lo and behold, in Season 5 there it was again. And it's pulled again! But now, in Season 6, it looks like we're going to do it."

Fans will have to wait for few more months before the network releases any concrete details about the highly anticipated "Game of Thrones" (GOT) Season 6. Until then, let us know your thoughts about Season 5 finale and prediction about the next chapter of the HBO's show in comments section below.
