US carriers AT&T and T-Mobile are going to launch Microsoft Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL this month.

AT&T's website has confirmed the Microsoft Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL release will be at the end of June.

T-Mobile, on the other hand, is going to release the phones on June 17. Select T-Mobile stores will sell the phones on the said date. The customers will need to place an order for the phone and it will be sent via mail to their address.

Microsoft Lumia 640 has a resolution of 1280x720 pixels. The screen size of the phone is a comfortable 5-inches and it is expected to appeal to those people who like their phones a little bigger. It is powered by a Quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor with a speed of 1.2 GHz.

Microsoft Lumia 640 specs also include a primary camera of 8 MP for clear and perfect selfies. The front camera of the midrange smartphone has a 0.9 MP resolution.

Powered by a battery of 2500 mAh capacity, Microsoft Lumia 640 features 1 GB of RAM along with 8GB of inbuilt storage capability. It also has a microSD slot in the phone, which can help to increase the storage up to 128 GB.

Meanwhile, Microsoft Lumia 640 XL features include a bigger 5.7-inches display screen. The pixel density is just 259 ppi as its resolution is 720x1280, according to Phone Arena.

Most of the other specs are similar to the Lumia 640 except for the camera and the battery. The primary camera of Lumia 640 XL boasts of 13 MP and its secondary camera has 5MP resolution. As compared to Lumia 640, it has a bigger battery of 3000 mAh capacity for the phone to function in a proper manner.
