Microsoft has released a new Windows 10 Mobile 10136 build. It is now available for those who have registered for the Windows Insider program.

Gabriel Aul, who pioneers the Windows Insider program, had posted on the official Windows blog that the new build is available for users who belong to the Fast Ring on the Windows Insider program. The update is currently available only to those users who are using handsets that are currently running on Windows Phone 8.1 and have opted for Fast Ring on Windows Insider.

Windows Insider Fast Ring users who are already using a previous Windows 10 Mobile build (10080) can install the new build only by rolling back to Windows Phone 8.1. In order to perform the rollback, users are required to use the Windows Phone Recovery Tool. Since there are some bugs that hinder users from directly migrating from build 10080 to 10136, users are recommended to rollback to Windows Phone 8.1, added Aul.

After the device is rolled back to Windows Phone 8.1, users are required to launch the Windows Insider app and again select Fast Ring and then update the device with 10136 build by navigating to Settings > Phone Update. Users who do not wish to roll back to Windows Phone 8.1 will remain on 10080 build. When a newer build arrives in the future, the handset will still be configured to receive it.

Compared to the 10080 build, developers at Microsoft have refined the UX with changes to icons, layout and font. Cortana's UI has been updated with dark theme and lots of improvements such as tracking flights, alerting on user activities, and answering queries have been done to deliver better user experience.

The Photos app now supports zooming on double tap and month-wise categorization of photos. The Lumia Camera Beta app is exclusively available for users of the Lumia 640, the Lumia 640 XL, the Lumia 930, the Lumia icon and the Lumia 1520. Installation of the new build on devices with 5-inch or higher screens will allow users to operate the device wit single-hand.
