Best known for his role as the little kid in "Jerry Maguire," Jonathan Lipnicki, 24, recently greeted Tom Cruise, 52, a Happy Father's Day in a sarcastic manner. The two co-starred with Renee Zellwegger, 46, in the 1996 romantic comedy written and directed by Cameron Crowe, 57.

In a video, which runs two minutes and 47 seconds, Lipnicki says, "I'm here to thank you, Jerry Maguire, for everything you did for me, from drunkenly brooding on my mom's couch having a nervous breakdown to dropping completely unnecessary f-bombs when I wanted to go to the zoo.

Lipnicki, who was only six years old when "Jerry Maguire" was released, continues, "Sure, you were probably experiencing an episode of clinical mania, but hey, it was never a dull moment."

"Who could forget those glasses, am I right?" Lipnicki goes on to say in the video before complaining about Hollywood producers, directors, casting directors who still think of him as "that cute little kid from 'Jerry Maguire.'"

For Lipnicki, it is time to let go of his image as the cute little kid from "Jerry Maguire" and start considering him as "a talented, classically trained adult actor capable of playing a wide variety of roles."

Currently, Lipnicki is filming James Cullen Bressack's drama "Limelight" and Lovell Holder's "Loserville." After "Jerry Maguire," he went on to appear in several TV series including "Dawson's Creek" and "MotherLover" but he was not able to find the same success enjoyed by other former child stars such as "Hunger Games" star Josh Hutcherson, 22, and "Being Mary Jane" actor Kyle Massey, 23.

In an interview with ETonline, Massey said he and Hutcherson lived at the Oakwood and had a one bedroom, which was the living room. He said, "Now look at him. He's a huge megastar (from) 'The Hunger Games.' Josh is the man."

Meanwhile, Cruise is reportedly dating his 22-year-old production assistant named Emily, who has a striking resemblance to his former wife Katie Holmes, 36, Redbook Mag has learned.
