Jessica Biel's "Spark" so-star Susan Sarandon is one of the celebrities who support trans woman Caitlyn Jenner. For decades, the Academy Award winner has been an advocate for the LGBTQ community.

In a recent interview with People, Sarandon talked about how her own children see beyond gender stereotypes at the event called TrevorLIVE, which took place on June 15, Monday, in support for LGBTQ youth.

"I think it's really great that we are having all these conversations and getting kids to understand that there is somewhere we can go to talk it over," Sarandon said of her support of The Trevor Project

According to Sarandon, her DJ and musician son Miles Guthrie, the younger of his two sons with her former partner Tim Robbins, has long hair and sometimes wears dresses along with his band mates. She said her children got to know a diversity of people and families as they grew up in New York City.

For Sarandon, it is very difficult to survive the teenage years intact and the socialization process because if a teenager steps out of line, there are a number of children nowadays "who are questioning, gay or transgender, who have a very tough time and it could be very dangerous for them."

Currently, Sarandon is filming "Spark," in which she is lending her voice to the character Bannany. Other characters are voiced by Biel, Hilary Swank, Jace Norman, Alan C. Peterson, Jason Deline and Shannon Perreault, among others.

Aside from "Spark," Sarandon is also currently filming the 2016 movie "Mothers Day" with Laura Dern, Christina Ricci, Sharon Stone, Paul Wesley, and Eva Amurri Martino, her daughter with director Franco Amurri.
