"The Walking Dead" star Norman Reedus, 46, took to Twitter to poke fun at the rumors that he and his former co-star Emily Kinney, 29, were dating. He joked that it is Arnold Schwarzenegger, 67, not Kinney, he is dating.
On June 18, Thursday, Reedus tweeted a photo of him with Schwarzenegger with a caption, "new couple alert." In less than 24 hours, the photo was re-tweeted more than 4,000 times and favorited 10,000 times.
The news of the former "Walking Dead" co-stars broke when a source reportedly close to the two told Us Weekly that they are indeed dating. The source told the publication, "They had a connection early on in the show but the romance developed recently. They're still pretty guarded about it."
Reedus' rep was quick to deny the rumor. The rep simply told Just Jared, "We can confirm that they are not dating."
Aside from playing Daryl Dixon in the AMC zombie drama series "The Walking Dead," Reedus is also set to appear in the upcoming films "Air" and "Triple 9." Sci-fi thriller "Air" also starring "Furious 7" star Djimon Hounsou, 51, will be released on Aug. 14 while crime drama "Triple 9" also starring "Wonder Woman" star Gal Gadot, 30, and "Breaking Bad" actor Aaron Paul, 35, will hit theaters on March 4, 2016.
Meanwhile, Schwarzenegger has completed Alan Taylor's sci-fi action "Terminator Genisys," which also stars "Suicide Squad" actor Jai Courtney, 29, "Game Of Thrones" star Emilia Clarke, 28, "The Magnificent Seven" star Byung-hun Lee, 44, among others.
