Kyle Balda and Pierre Coffin's animated comedy film "Minions" has been released in some parts of the globe and initial tracking records imply an approaching high gross for the "Despicable Me" spin-off film.

"Minions" was recently released in four global markets, Indonesia, Australia, Malaysia, and Singapore and the animated film made an estimated worldwide gross of $987.7 million. According to Deadline, the film opened number one in Indonesia and Malaysia and grabbed the second spot behind "Jurassic World" in Singapore and Australia.

According to Cinema Blend, the minions, who were initially loved in Chris Renaud and Coffin's "Despicable Me" in 2010, are predicted to top the emotion-based characters in Pete Docter and Ronaldo Del Carmen's "Inside Out," which premiered on June 19.

"Minions" is not assumed to open with $200 million in one weekend, just like what Colin Trevorrow's "Jurassic World" did after its release on June 12. However, the funny creatures have their own appeal to both children and adults, which can lead to the film's success.

Before "Minions" hits the United States, the adorable yellow creatures will be seen in nine more international markets - Armenia, Brazil, Czech Republic, Croatia, New Zealand, Slovakia, United Kingdom, Ireland, and Poland.

"Minions" follow the small adorable yellow creatures as they traverse the history in search of their despicable master. Stuart, Kevin, and Bob become recruits of super-villain Scarlet Overkill and her husband Herb, who want to take over the world.

The Illumination Entertainment film features the voices of Geoffrey Rush, Jon Hamm, Sandra Bullock, and Coffin. Directed by Balda and Coffin, "Minions" is produced by Janet Healy, Christopher Meledandri, Chris Renaud, and Dave Rosenbaum.

"Minions" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on July 10.
