Based on the prototype released by Samsung, a wireless camera will be mounted on the front of the truck and will feed live streams to a giant video screen located at the back of the vehicle. This will give drivers a real-time view of the roads' incoming traffic.

Additionally, the technology will also give drivers a clear view of any obstacle that might catch them off guard while driving. According to Samsung, this technology has a great potential in saving lives by dramatically reducing road accidents.

According to The Verge, Samsung is already applying for regulatory approval in order to deploy its technology on public roads.

However, despite having a massive potential in helping drivers, the project is not appealing and practical when viewed on a financial perspective. Industry analysts said while the front camera is cheap and relatively simple to install, the four displays located on the back will prove to be a major investment for any transportation company that will adopt the technology.

Currently, Samsung's Safety Truck project is still in its early prototype stage and the company is working along with several NGO and government agencies around the world in order to promote road safety.

Samsung tested one truck equipped integrated the technology in Argentina. In order to further promote its technology, Samsung released a YouTube video documenting the test.
