In the next few days, Microsoft will be rolling out the preview for the anticipated Windows 10 software. This will be done via a development kit ready to be sent to waiting testers.

Microsoft announced via its official blog, that the company wants to keep its testers updated on what will be coming with the new build. Alongside the Windows 10 SDK, Microsoft will also release the Windows 10 Mobile emulator to match.

Since the Windows 10 can run apps from the Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 Mobile, Microsoft also wants early testers to check and verify that the apps are also working on Windows 10, as the goal is to catch and issues and bugs before launch. Following the launch of Windows 10 dev kit this month, insiders can now expect more frequent releases of previews.

The anticipation for the Windows 10 also comes from the announcement of the free Windows 10 license for those are part of the Preview program. However, Microsoft has also recently clarified what it had meant by getting the free license.

There are some criteria that Insiders need to fulfill to get the free license to the Windows 10. One of which is a valid license for the Windows 7 or 8 before the preview is installed. After that, upgrading to the regular version of the Windows 10 is guaranteed to be free. But for those without a valid license of the earlier OS, they can still get access to the beta Windows 10 and all further and active licenses of betas in the future.

Another feature that makes the Windows 10 appealing is the introduction of Passport, Forbes reported. This feature is a revamped version of the Single Sign On that pre-dated the Microsoft account. This can be used as a way to remove the hassle of many passwords, but also without diminishing the quality of security in using Windows 10 and its services.
